What a difference a year makes. 

In August 2022, CoreLogic data revealed national property prices were falling at the fastest rate since the 1980s. 

But fast forward to August 2023 and the story is very different, with national values up 4.9% when compared to their trough in February.  

Unsurprisingly, this recovery has sparked a significant change in investor outlook. 

In the Property Investment Professionals of Australia’s annual survey, 54% of respondents expected property prices to rise in the upcoming 12 months, a notable increase from 25% in 2022.
