SANJEEV SAH’S STORY

FROM IT EMPLOYEE TO FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT PROPERTY INVESTOR

IS THIS EVERYTHING IN LIFE?

“Back when I had a corporate job in IT, I used to look outside my office window and wonder: Is this everything in life?”

“I didn’t feel like I was fulfilling my potential. And I couldn’t see how I would ever achieve financial freedom.”

BACK IN 2009

“Something changed for me in 2009, when me and my wife, Illa, bought a residential property and then a commercial property in our homeland in India.

Now, we just don’t have financial assets; we also have somewhere to live if we ever go back to India. More importantly, though, I began to realise the potential of properties.”

BOUGHT OFF-THE-PLAN HOUSE IN 2014

“In 2014, we bought an off-the-plan house in Sydney, which we moved into the following year.”

BOUGHT OFF-THE-PLAN UNIT IN 2015

“In 2015, we bought an off-the-plan unit in Sydney as an investment property.”

ACHIEVING FINANCIAL FREEDOM

“Sydney was experiencing a boom and both properties quickly rose in value – further evidence that I could use the property as a way to achieve financial freedom.”

INVESTING IN SELF- EDUCATION

“That was when I decided to learn everything about the property. I bought books, I attended seminars, I studied the market.”

SET TO GOAL TO QUIT MY IT JOB

“With the support of my wife, I also set myself a goal to quit my IT corporate job by 2020, so I could become a full-time property investor.”

MY DAUGHTER WAS BORN

“My goal wasn’t to become a filthy rich property mogul: I just wanted to achieve financial independence and to be able to spend time with my beautiful daughter, Amaya, who was born in 2015.”

GAINED EXPERIENCE IN PROPERTY MARKET

“Between 2014 and 2019, I bought five properties and gained experience with renovation, subdivision and development.”

I QUIT MY JOB EARLY

“I quit my job in 2019, one year ahead of schedule. At the same time, I decided to become a buyer’s agent, so I could help others build wealth through property.”

SURPASSED THE OBSTACLES

“But I had a powerful goal – to be able to live life on my terms and spend more time with my family. So I forced myself to overcome all those obstacles.”

I WANT TO HELP OTHERS

“I wanted to stop others from making the same mistakes I’d made.

“Unfortunately, a lot of people throw themselves into property investment without a proper strategy and without clear goals.

“Also, they buy low-quality properties and they invest in the wrong areas.”

I HELPED MORE THAN 200 INVESTORS SO FAR

“So far, I have helped more than 200 investors buy cashflow-positive properties and apply a range of property strategies throughout Australia.

And I do more than just provide the normal buyer’s agent service.”

GIVING BACK THROUGH PROPERTY EDUCATION

“I like to educate my clients as well. We talk about their goals and the wealth creation process, so they understand the link between property investment and their long-term future.”
