When asked what type of investment property they would buy for their next purchase, 90.7% of respondents to the annual Property Investor Sentiment Survey said it would be an established property. 

That was a heartwarming answer, because established properties generally outperform new properties when it comes to long-term capital growth. 

Why? Because new properties tend to be overpriced and often suffer from a lack of scarcity. That’s why Investors Dream favours buying established homes. 

Of course, there are exceptions to this rule; for some people, in some situations, buying new is the best option. But for most investors, it’s generally best to invest in established real estate.
